Not all pornstars will book with fans, so definitely ask ahead of time.

Even if they do expect to pay a pretty-penny, including their flight to-and-from, their hotel stay, and time for the session itself. Most providers/pornstars don't travel alone, so they might ask for a flight "for two".

You might come out a tiny bit cheaper if they allow you to travel to THEIR city.
