Default Adrianna Kurilets a Ukrainian actress appeared on ISIS style beheading video of a Russian soldier

A bizarre video posted to social media shows a woman who is meant to represent Ukraine mock-executing a Russian soldier on camera as she performs an ISIS-style rant about “reaping a bloody harvest.”

Default Living La Vita Babylon Bee

There is an old saying: May you live in interesting times.
Our current world is kinda like the Babylon Bee makes more sense than the regular news
We are living in Bizarro times.

I read an article the other day - Spoiler Alert, it has a religious bend to it - discussing our societal culture at large.
Quote:
The End Of Civilization As We Know It Is Coming – And That Is Actually Really Good News

Having the proper perspective can completely change how you view the future. Yes, without a doubt the past few years have been very rough. The COVID pandemic ushered in an alarming new era in 2020, 2021 was even worse, and now 2022 has added a major global food crisis, a horrifying bird flu pandemic and the biggest land war in Europe since World War II. Unfortunately, the truth is that things will get even worse in the months and years ahead. To many people that sounds like really bad news, but it actually isn’t.

We desperately need someone to hit the “reset button”. Our culture has been swirling down the toilet for decades, but during the last few years that process seems to have greatly accelerated.

If people from 50 or 60 years ago were exposed to our society today, they would be absolutely horrified by what has happened to us. But many of us think that everything is just fine, because we have gradually become desensitized to the utter depravity that is all around us.

We are like the proverbial frog in the kettle. If you try to put a frog directly into boiling water, it will jump right out. But if you put a frog into lukewarm water and slowly turn the heat up, it will not realize what is happening until it is too late.

At this point, our society resembles a giant open sewer, and it is getting worse with each passing day. But the good news is that everything is going to be cleaned up and set right. However, before that happens our world is going to get to experience the full consequences of all the evil that it has so eagerly embraced.

So it is okay to have mixed emotions about the signs of the end times that are happening all around us. On one hand, the years ahead are going to be increasingly challenging as global events continue to spiral out of control...
Indeed. We are living in Bizarro times

Thanks DF. How you do that ?

My Grandfather had to get the kids out of Riga when the Soviets invaded in 1944. He had assisted my Grandmother and her mom out of Russia during the revolution 1917. There is oral history of some connection with the Romanovs but, nothing I've been able to prove.
Grandma was Russian Orthodox and I'm pretty sure would have been more White then Red.
So, I am well aware of the potential brutality of the Russian regime however, it is also apparent to me that , for whatever reason, the West was provoking Russia with the Eastward expansion of NATO as well as the aggressive push of Western ' values' .

Sometimes no matter what you do, eccie will fumble the ball and only show a URL anyway

One way to do it is:

Right click on the desired video
Select Copy URL or link
Left click where you want to drop it in your reply
Either right click and select paste or just Ctrl-V
Delete anything to the left of the right most / including the right most /
Double click on what is left to highlight it
Above the editing box where you plopped it, there is a little globe, select the icon to the right of it to break the URL link
Above the editing box where you plopped it, select the the far right icon You HD
viola!

FWIW: I tend to do most all of it in Windoze notepad pasting the last chunk in to the reply and only perform the last step above, which allows me to skip the second to last step above. (I do similar to 'deformat' text and kill URLs in web text that I want to paste into a reply)

Anomaly Alert: Sometimes there is an = or ? Just left of what should be your target. kill it and everything else off to get a clean stub. Same is true if either exist to the right of it

Starting with: https://youtu.be/vyQhF1UVgfI
The target (stub) should become: vyQhF1UVgfI

Here is an 'escaped' version, i.e. an extra / between the [ and Y far left

Ukraine is almost evenly divided between those who want to align with Russia and those who want to align with the West.

Russian enclaves that were being targeted by Ukrainian nationalists did welcome the Russians.

Since many of the bodies in Bucha had their hands tied with white cloths and, from what I've heard, white armbands were a sign of neutrality, I wouldn't be surprised if the victims were actually shot as traitors by Azov or some similar group as a warning against Ukrainian citizens.

fyi waco,

its a ukrainian folk costume. its called the vinok. the headdress is actually not a hat, but a stylized handmade wreath or crown. there may be some social status involved and also tells someone what region shes from. this practice came from Byzantium and is pre-christianity.

not sure what period this style is from.

interesting rule they have, married ukrainian women were required to wear a headdress whereas single ukrainian women did not need to wear one.

I guess it makes it easier to see who was taken or not. lol.

heres a link... gawd.. theres some pretty ladies in this link. wow.
