Looks like other secret service agents are stating they were told the same or similar story. They too will testify to that. Soooo the question is who started the story. There were only a few agents in the car so one of them likely said it, true or not, to someone.
Word is Ornato might have a problem with the truth. He’s been caught several times being less than forthcoming and making several backtracks about prior statements. Which I probably why the committee believes Hutchinson over Ornato. Also if other agents say they too have heard the same or similar stories it came from somewhere.
Engle seems to be more a straight shooter so we shall see how this all plays out.
