Actually, you were the "accuser" with your ignorant assessment.
But don't be offended by being called "ignorant." At least in my world "ignorance" is curable. Stupidity is not and is usually based on genetics, but can be the result of repetitive banging one's head on a wall.
I'm not a Republican and never have been. I have regularly called myself a Democrat, although in the past 10 to 15 years it has become increasingly more difficult for me, because of the loonatics parading around, burning and stealing other people's shit, referring to themselves as "Democrats"! And now there are Bitten and Kumola who have really tarnished and abused the name.
As for my voting pattern, if I actually personally know the person on the ballot I'm not concerned about their party affiliation, and if I don't know them personally I attempt to determine what their qualities have been and/or are as the case may be. My focus is not "politics," but general actual attitudes toward certain "things" I wish were to be done to improve the lives of most of the people in my community. "Most" because nothing will benefit "EVERYONE." Of course, my perspective of "benefit" may well differ from many others and particularly those who wish to "live off the fat of the land" and not work.

Fair enough. Two outstanding Texas Congressmen, Phil Gramm and Kent Hance, were Democrats who became Republicans. Maybe you’ll complete the switch some day. Looking at the candidates closely without regard to party affiliation like you do should be applauded. Usually I’m too lazy to do that.

Nope. My guess is that 40%+ of those voting in the national elections are "independents" even though the polls say lower. But when I say "independents" I mean they split tickets and vote for candidates in either party, because of the qualities of a particular candidate. I think someone intelligent enough to make those kinds of choices probably would vote for someone even though 25-30 years ago they drank beer and chased pussy in high school.
There are some real turnoffs for me ... as I mentioned in another thread (or was it this one?) I received a couple of fund raising emails from an older female striking out for U.S. Rep as a Democrat who started out her pitch with that "saving the democracy" bullshit she copied off the DNC playbook.
She's in Texas. Not California or New York, if that even works any more there. Republicans do the same stupid shit.
Is this board any different? No. Example, as I've said before:
When some loonie posts bullshit about me, my attitude and response:
If you know me, you're a liar, or
If you don't know me, you're a liar.
You pick.
And of course when some small-minded, immature, dipshit "mines" information about me off the internet and passes it around (even to providers! (Yea, they tell me with a phone call!)), and then makes up childish little remarks about me that are flat out lies, then they have demonstrated what little pukes they are.
If they really think it matters to me, they are wasting bandwidth!

When did you join the vax cult?
Hmmm... come to think of it, it's also something of an IQ test - given that the vaxx efficacy is closer to 0.86% now.

Sounds like a personal choice. Gotta love that freedom! Can't help but wonder if he'd refuse a heart from a vaccinated person?
Hospital refusing heart transplant for man who won't get vaccinated - CBS News
https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/bri...et-vaccinated/
A Boston hospital says it won't consider performing a heart transplant on a patient who refuses to get vaccinated against COVID-19, CBS Boston reports.
DJ Ferguson, 31, is fighting for his life at Brigham and Women's Hospital and in desperate need of a heart transplant.
His father, David Ferguson, is speaking out passionately on behalf of his son who, he told CBS Boston, "has gone to the edge of death to stick to his guns and he's been pushed to the limit."
DJ's family says he was at the front of the line to receive a transplant but hospital policy stipulates that he's no longer eligible because he hasn't received the vaccination. And David Ferguson says his son simply won't.
"It's kind of against his basic principles — he doesn't believe in it," David Ferguson says. "It's a policy they are enforcing and so, because he won't get the shot, they took him off the list (for) a heart transplant."
Brigham and Women's released a statement saying, "Like many other transplant programs in the United States — the COVID-19 vaccine is one of several vaccines and lifestyle behaviors required for transplant candidates in the Mass General Brigham system in order to create both the best chance for a successful operation and also the patient's survival after transplantation."

I'd put myself in that 40%, I agree completely, I judge (and vote) on the individual and I'm really not concerned which party they place themselves in to do fundraising.

Good for the hospital for not giving a heart to that dipshit who refuses to be safe. Fuck his stupid ass stubborn beliefs. If he is not smart enough to appreciate the gift of life, let him decide what coffin he wants to be buried in and good riddance to that idiot... give that heart to someone who actually appreciates the incredible gift he or she was given. The rules are the rules. If you don't want to abide by the transplant rules, enjoy your funeral, dummy.

I'm a bit split on this one. If you read the hospital reasoning; it's because the recipient will be an induced into an immuno-compromised state because of the procedure. (Makes sense, given organ rejection etc) In other words, more susceptible to infection post-op. That makes some sense.
But then turn around and decide the patient only has one option, of the hospital's choosing, does not hold water - especially considering the myriad number of known heart and blood related side effects, one of which is clobbering the immune system, of the current gene therapies.
So I guess my basic question is how exactly is it that a vaxxed (GTed) person can handle being in a further forced immuno-compromized state, considering that the vaxx (GT) kind of immuno-compromises them already?!?
