Mitch was merely pointing out an indisputable fact - black Americans have shown they are quite capable of turning out to vote in proportionately higher numbers than whites, when motivated. They did so in 2008 and again in 2012. Obama was on the ballot both times, remember? Mitch was just echoing the findings of the WaPo:

Oh dear! How did that happen? The dim-retards keep telling us the black vote is being "suppressed" by those devious Republicans. Well, I've got news for you - it's not. The real racists are those who assume most minority voters are too lazy or flaky (or whatever) to obtain a photo ID and comply with the rules in order to cast a ballot. They're not, as they proved in 2008 and 2012 and in many state and local elections.

What's more, if you paid attention to opinion polls you would know that most minority voters actually FAVOR photo-ID requirements. In fact, they support such rules more than white voters do!
