Someone in this forum reposted a release from the disgraced, twice-impeached POTUS, which the poster proffered as fact.
However, Trump, to nobody's surprise (except maybe his Qbuddies), lied for a change.
Nobody's going to let this go, as well they shouldn't.
Trump continues to double down on fantasy and self delusion.
Even the NY Daily News can nail that shit.

Rep. Liz Cheney hits back at Trump as Jan. 6 committee pushes Supreme Court to order release of White House records

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) is punching back hard at former President Trump as the Jan. 6 investigative committee urged the Supreme Court to green light the release of his White House records.
The committee Thursday urged the top court not to hear Trump’s request to bar the release of the potentially incriminating trove of files, which might include videos he made as his extremist supporters stormed the Capitol.
“Although the facts are unprecedented, this case is not a difficult one,” the congressional select committee wrote in a legal filing. “The Select Committee is entitled to (the) Presidential records.”
The legal jab came hours after the Republican rebel fact-checked Trump’s claim that the committee was backing down from its push to obtain the records.
“False. The @January6thCmte hasn’t dropped requests for any necessary records,” Cheney tweeted late Wednesday. “In fact, we’re actively litigating to obtain White House records Trump is trying to conceal.”
Trump had issued a statement earlier Wednesday spotlighting the decision by the committee not to request some of the documents in deference to concerns by aides to President Biden that are tied to national security issues and don’t involve Trump’s campaign to overturn the 2020 election.
The twice-impeached former president portrayed the move as the committee backing down in what he derides as a “witch hunt” aimed at smearing him.
“This also changes the entire complexion of their request,” he wrote in an email message. “Not that there are any documents that would be incriminating or a problem for me.”
Cheney insisted that the panel has not strayed from its mission of finding the whole truth about what happened on Jan. 6 and Trump’s role in it.
“We will not allow him to hide the truth about Jan. 6, or his conduct, from the American people,” she wrote.
The back-and-forth comes as Trump asks the conservative-dominated Supreme Court to shield his records, which could include handwritten notes about his inaction as the riot raged and outtakes of his infamous “you’re wonderful people” video to his supporters.
The top court is considering Trump’s request to squelch orders from lower court judges that the National Archive should hand over the documents to the Congressional committee.
Trump’s lawyers filed a new brief late Wednesday citing an interview with Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), the panel’s chair. He said the committee could use the files to refer Trump for possible criminal prosecution.
Lawyers for the White House and Congress say Trump has no right to keep secret his actions or inaction in the face of a historic attack on American democracy.
It’s unknown whether the court will hear the case or when it might act.
Along with asking the justices to rebuff Trump’s request, the committee asked the Supremes to rule as quickly as possible on the case.
“Each passing day handicaps the Select Committee’s investigation, forcing it to proceed without the benefit of documents to which it is entitled,” it wrote in the filing.
