DF - thank you

so sad that DPSTs are incapable of doing a little research - and taking responsibility for their own issues

Rather than simply 'Blaming " It is Trump's Fault"!

Maybe it would help make sense of some of this redundant nonsense.

Or maybe not.

Wait and Xi....

Under frederal law, pawn shops are "financial institutions." In many states, pawn shops are licensed and regulated the same as banks. For instance, in Pennsylvania, they're licensed and regulated by the Department of Banking and Securities Bureau of Licensing, Compiance and Investigation. Therefore, it is true in some states, but possibly not in all.

Where such a new law would land regarding other institutions, such as pawn shops remains to be seen.

Thanks. There’s some nuance there which is why I left it as is. They are regulated as financial institutions mainly in requiring disclosures. But they aren’t treated as banks. So I’ll concede that there are some regulations that apply to both banks and pawn shops.

Blimey! Just like ICU mentioned before.

You keep callin' people out, and they turn
their cards over - and you lose the hand.

A good Australian bloke named Kenny always had
some good advice for these situations. And I'll
surely share it with YOU:

"You gotta know when to hold 'em.
And know when to fold 'em."

No need to thank me, mate. Virtue is its-own reward.

Without getting into weedy nuance, there is a world of difference between being subject to certain financial institution regulations and being “considered banks” (which was what ICU initially claimed). Which is why I left it alone.

People that vote Democrat, and couldn’t conjure up $60, much less $600, won’t be affected by this.

Any rich Democrats, ie pro athletes, movie stars, tech giants, will figure out a way to get around it. This will all fall on those that get up, go to work, and pay their taxes.

Just wait. You’ll see.
