Hi Gabrielle! I read all your posts, and just like on Indys I like reading all the providers perspectives on things. I don't have the "knee-jerk" reaction and "I'm Tough!" response of a lot of guys to providers posts here. If anything I learn something about "how the other side" of the hobby sees things. You won't hear any "All these providers posting too much! Indys was run by providers!" complaints from me...

With any talk of "legislation" and "lobbying" remember that most experienced hobbyists hobby-operate with 1.) "burner phones" and 2.) hobby emails without their "real names". It's basically unimaginable that many hobbyists will lobby state legislatures to reform new hobby-laws. Hobbyists want to AVOID trouble and "controversy", especially publicly. (Some hobbyists dig bickering with other hobbyists online.) With FOSTA many hobbyists, just like providers, want to operate as UTR as possible. LESS "interaction" with any hobby-community. LESS exposure to other hobby-people, at least en masse hobby-people. Again, most guys operate with "burner phones" and hobby-emails. They are not going to get too "involved" in public legal reform. And all the married guys carry DOUBLE the risk of single guys. They simply have too much to lose "going public" with their involvement in the hobby...

Most workplace "reform" and historic labor movements started with the Labor itself. There is no "management" and "ownership" and corporate lobby working "against" Labor in the hobby. The hobby is "independent contractors" and also independent clients who don't want their involvement in the hobby known by their relatives and employers. The hobby has always operated in secret. There are benefits to operate in secret, broadly and sub-culturally, like Untaxed Cash (if providers don't want to pay taxes) and also Total....Anonymity for both providers and hobbyists so we all can keep doing all this for YEARS on end....

You won't read any "I'm Tough! Let's circle-jerk each other off, Guys!" anti-provider posts from me, at least not on most hobby-issues. I also try to posit "realpolitic" assessments. I can afford it, but not in this environment where 9/10 posts are scammers which means I would end up spending 900 USD in misses with only 100 USD being a hit. We need to purge the scammers and bring that ratio within reason.

You need to fire your accountant and get a new one. There is plenty of inexpensive insurance measures to prevent this. For example, open accounts at more banks to not go over the FDIC insurance limits.

This was an interesting thread to read. IMO, the main reason for the decline in available providers EVERYWHERE is Onlyfans and the like. If you pay to see them online (to jerk off) why would they ever want to meet in person. I don’t understand onlyfans and why anyone would ever pay for it, but hey that’s me.

On a separate note, I am not from Pittsburgh but have been here a lot for work. I travel constantly and hobby everywhere. The provider shortage is not as bad in other cities as it is here. Pittsburgh is the absolute worst out of the dozen or so cities I travel too.

I have resorted to pretty much EROS at this point in Pittsburgh because I have some luck there without all the BS.

I know Dreamgurl gets a bunch of shit on here, but I met her a couple years ago and she is still one of my top 5 providers all time. I really enjoyed my visit with her as she was a true professional. . I would see her every time I come here, but I can only do same day appts with my work schedule when here.
