No, it is not, with common sense. Yes, it can be a dangerous place, but as long as you mind your business and stay out the areas you do not need to be in you will be fine. The bad actors sort of so their things to each other.

I was thinking of going Sunday if anyone wants to join. I was going to walk across. Uber to the hotel. Uber back to the bridge. Then walk back over.

No. Even at night it is fun. Some Fake News. Yes you have crime and violence. Just dont be a DB. Use common sense and dont call attention to yourself. Do your research. Sundays are mainly reserved for carne asada and church...hahahaha. dm.

If you go to the outer barrios, you will be shot or blown up, the Cartels are ruthless heavily-armed rude people. Near the Rio Grande Mall, you're good before sunset. Near the US Consulate, I've had joggers run into me on the bridge and apologize. It depends on what you are planning to do. What I have experienced is that Mexicans are very proud of their country, and will go out of their way to help your Gringo ass. Except for VivAeorbus, but that's a different story.

I too have been curious about experiencing some of the juarez ladies you guys speak so highly of,its been several years since i crossed over last time was for a funeral but what are the requirements for us citizens coming back,do you actually need a passport or can you get away with just an i.d.

I had my passport and when I came back through, I saw that there's a separate line for driver's license. The license line was long, and the passport line was so short, I wasn't sure it was open. It looked to me that a license is sufficient, although before I went, I had heard you had to have your passport. Apparently that isn't true. That was about a week ago btw.

It's $1 each to go into Mexico, and there's a 25 cent per person coin operated gate to get back into USA. There's a booth/person 10 feet from the gates to make change.

Is there a mask mandate in effect in Juarez?

Any other covid related rules/mandates I should know about? I'm looking for things that have changed since my last visit in 2018.

No mask mandate. Some of the pharmacies require one
