Default New NBA League Competitor

"Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving reportedly wants no part of the NBA's plan to restart the season with a 22-team format in Orlando, Florida, and went as far as to suggest players should form their own league.

According to Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, Irving said the Nets should skip the NBA's restart at Disney World during a group chat with his teammates. He also proposed the idea that players start their own league.

"To be clear on this, Kyrie Irving has proposed to his teammates they should start their own league, and it's not necessarily in response to the bubble situation," Bondy wrote."

Considering the league is nothing without the players, should the billionaire owners be nervous?

Maybe. There's many issues like stadiums. Most would just like more money and let some body deal with the "details" while they play basketball. Does Jordan still own part of some franchise?

If somebody started a NBA replacement they'd have to have major corporations like Nike and Disney on board who already have agreements with the NBA.

I could see quite a few lawsuits.

I think Jordan is a part owner of one team though not a very successful one. His problem is that he smokes and drinks too much these days and has gotten fat.

Considering the Los Angeles Lakers used to be the Minnesota Lakers, and you know what happened there, they should also change their name.

I suggest the LA BLM's.

The Boston Celtics - racist.

Golden State Warriors - racist

Sacramento Kings - vestiges of Olde English white supremacy.

Houston Rockets - the space program tried to hide the contributions of those black ladies who did the computations - racist

Utah Jazz - cultural appropriation

Detroit Pistons - the auto business discriminates against minorities

Portland Trail Blazers - they stole Indian land

Denver Nuggets - black Americans were denied access to gold claims

Change all those names.

Portland should rename themselves the "CHAZ".

Denver should rename themselves "Cop Resistors"

Boston should change their name to "The Defunders"

Utah should change their names to "The Apologizers"

Default the central citizens committee on names, objects and memorials sit in judgement and it will not be mocked and no matter how loose the despicable connection, we will find it

no way cleveland could remain the cavaliers, unless you take cavaliers to be a reference to gays (cavalier, attitude? get it?)

dallas cant be the mavericks- all that cattle country stolen from the Mexicans

indiana pacers - nope brings to mind the car business again, you already addressed that with the pistons (why does it bring to mind the car business? you know the amc pacer, one day you will learn you cannot slip one by us)

l a. clippers? - no way a slave sloop can survive, unless once again you can convince us its a reference to gay hairdressers

milwaukee bucks or the memphis grizzlies or minnesota timber wolves -come on, hunting? guns? white men? get real please

new york knicks? the dutch stole manahattan from indigenous people, enough said

the wizards and the magic are ok if you get clearance from the witches, wizards and warlocks religion

oklahoma city thunder or phoenix suns - no nature names please, no matter how oblique, could be a subtle and carefully nuanced reference to the creator, to try to slip one by us

the s.a. spurs? animal cruelty

I think you have stated several grievous injustices that I overlooked - I get on my knees begging your forgiveness.

To FF and NGIT - thank You for thoughtful and pointed satire of the PC culture!!
Next time the Libs take control - we can expect a "Bureau of PC Speech and Writing Enforcement" - and ebonics will become the language of the country!

In the future to walk free in America all people will likely have to pass certain tests proving their "wokeness" and subservience to black cultural demands.
