Last year 56 million people worldwide died of a number of things amongst them 11 million of junk food, 7 of smoking, and 3 of alcohol and they didn't shut down the world.
so no there are no risks except irresponsibility and ignorance. the government, the banks, the military and the media is loving it. the body count as a consequence of this will be much higher in a near future.
