Trump's intelligence chief resigned after the White House repeatedly suppressed his warnings about Russian interference, New York Times reports
Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats in recent months saw his warnings about threats posed by Russia watered down by the White House, The New York Times reported Sunday.
According to The Times, a dossier by Coats on Russian interference in the 2018 midterms was altered by the White House to contain less critical language.
Coats' resignation was announced Sunday in a tweet by President Donald Trump, who wants a loyalist, Rep. John Ratcliffe of Texas, to replace him.

Considering that Russia is much smaller than it once was and that Obama correctly characterized them as the "JV" it is surprising that their uncollaborated effort at influencing our election - something we do in almost every other countries elections - was so effective.
I want to state for the record that Russia buying ads on Facebook to influence America is just the newest propaganda effort that they have engaged in over the last 60-80 years and they will continue no matter what we do.
Now, we need to install Sr. Juan Guaido in Venezuela, since we have appointed him President of Argentina, which no one disputes is our right to do, even though the people of Argentina theoretically elected Maduro.
