They Shall Not Grow Old

Fascinating documentary about WWI if you haven't seen it.

They took the old black and white footage, slowed it down,
colorized, and expanded it.
You feel like you are an observer in the trenches with them.

Starts off with the black and white footage and then a few minutes
in they bring up the enhanced version.
The effect is like you stepped back through time.

Well worth a watch even if you care little about war history.

Check out "The Cold Blue," a similar project about flying B-17s from England for the Eighth Air Force in World War II. Saw both via Fathom Events and would recommend.

"The Cold Blue" is coming to HBO in early June. A very good documentary.

The Cold Blue is on tonight at 6 pm on HBO. I saw its advertise on HBO when I was watching Chernobyl on Monday Thank you wordsmith and Sir Lancelot. I would not had known of it if you didn't tell us. by the way, Chernobyl is a great TV show too.
