Enjoy the coffee shops. A-Dam fucking sucks for pussy! The RLD is shit service ( there are four of them). Tourist trap. The sex shows are junk too, same actors/actrices work all of them, curtains pulled so you can't see the cum shot. I have been 10+ times and I am currently a train ride away across the border in Germany w no urge to go.

Great museums however and Vondelpark is fun to hang out. Prepare yourself for the thickest condoms ever , 95% CBJ, just garbage.

well they don't go! We lived and we learned. For good floral arrangements check out the Grey Zone ( Kid Rock loves it), Mellow Yellow or Dutch Flowers if still open. The further out from the centrum you go the better the aesthetics get..

As an alternative maybe go see Delft ( it is where Delftware is made) and right now is prime time for the tulip fields, a must see!

I highly suggest you take a bike tour that incorporates the city, the tulips fields, windmills and the countryside. See the Anne Franke Haus as well.

NEVER buy anything at the Bulldog, all fucking rubbish! Kaly is correct, avoid all tourists shops. After my first trip there I made it a point to buy my flowers 5 km or more outside the center; go to the working class areas or better yet go to Utrecht or Alkmaar; even Haarlem.

Bulldog terrible, all of them! Tourist trap like no other. Quality is terrible, follow my ( and Kaly) advise for smoke. Agree on the VG museum, very impressive.

I do go to the Bulldog but just to sit and enjoy my flowers from elsewhere and buy a water or juice. Their shit sucks. Low percentages of happy ingredients; MUCH higher elsewhere.

But, too each their own. If you have a car there is also a little area like we have car wash bays and the girl will service you in your car; than there are three other areas. The main walls are the worst service. The Singel district IMHO over a few hundred rooms has the best service.

Agree with KosherCowboy the bulldog has already gone bad. I was in 1e HulpI as a coffee shop in Amsterdam, having visited it at least once on every one of my trips to the Dam. Across the road from another good coffee shop named Funky Munky, 1e Hulp has a very exotic, Asian theme inside with Turkish furnishings, and lamps that give the coffee shop a unique feeling.
