Little early to be calling victory.
Good article. China is thinking long term and about military and geopolitical issues, not just economics. The USA is obsessed with the trade deficit between the USA and China. If Trump were a strategic thinker instead of playing this by the seat of his pants, we'd be working with Europe, Mexico, Canada, and members of the Transpacific Partnership to pressure China on issues of importance, like intellectual property and access to Chinese markets.

So far , the market doesn't think much of it after they analyzed it.

The Trump administration raised doubts Tuesday about the substance of a U.S.-China trade cease-fire, contributing to a stock market plunge and intensifying fears of a global economic slowdown.

This administration cannot get its act together, and the blame falls squarely on the man at the top. How can you present a consistent message when he's changing his mind all the time? I feel sorry for Kudlow and Mnuchin.

Trump wants all the credit and none of the blame.

People like that are only consistent in their inconsistency.
