You checked in with her 3 times that morning. I wish every guy did that. That's way more than most guys would do. Whether her phone was on silent or not, why did she not check in with you at all that morning til the last possible minute?

I expect good tcb skills from providers as my time is valuable and they should expect me to be on time as well. I’ve never canceled before and I’ve been here a significant amount of time. I was just trying to make sure I handled it right.
What really pissed me off was that I made work arrangements to be gone for this appointment and it was completely wasted as I could not find a replacement on such short notice although I tried several people.
Of course I’ll move on...I don’t give second chances on cancelations so whatever. She just lost a possible regular.

Your initial post had some merit. But when you added in donations you lost credibility because that is just piling on a cancellation.
Also, I doubt the lady "lost a possible regular."

Actually....I don’t see the word donation anyplace.
Also....she defiantly lost a regular since that is what I’m seeking and I don’t really care about credibility as my # of posts and both yes and no reviews says enough.
I’m here to contribute to the good and bad of this hobby for what it’s worth. I didn’t post to gain credibility from anyone.
Several ladies here know me as a regular and they know they can count on me never canceling and always being on time to not waste theirs or mine.
Didn’t mean to start any conflict.....just wanted to make sure that being 45 minutes out I wasn’t out of line as I would make it up if I was.
Don’t make such a big deal out of a simple question of etiquette.

You are the one the asked the question, not me.
Here is fact for you, your reviews mean nothing to anyone but you.
Allow me to refresh your memory from your original post concerning money, donations, considerations, etc.

If you cannot afford the lady's rate, move on. It is their business what they charge. It is your job to pay it, or not.

Thank you Pyramider!....Exactly!
Op I can understand your frustration with her and having to cancel. As B3 said I don’t wake up until 11am as well, unless I have a previously scheduled appointment. Then I’ll plan to be up and confirm the appointment accordingly.
Where you lost me was that bullshit ass dig on considerations. It’s quite simple and NOT that complex to understand.....stay within YOUR budget means and stop looking at what you CAN’T afford and then want to complain about it.
You need to go back to your spa/amp life, because you don’t dictate or run how independent providers choose to set their considerations, so you could have kept that whining part of your rant to yourself.
Stay within your budget and 65% cancellation rate OR step your provider game up and spend the money, but don’t sit around bitching about it!
Ya, I said it!

With a 65% cancellation rate, the OP should really evaluate his search criteria.

Same has happened to me except I went and waited like a chump at agreed place for 30 minutes before leaving. I have a tight schedule I hobby around unfortunately. Lesson learned. I now confirm before leaving and don’t leave for location withought confirmation but that is agreed upon ahead of time. Good question OP, you did nothing wrong.

I have to admit, I would have been annoyed if I confirmed the night before and gave an approximate address, that anyone would feel the need to repeatedly text me to reconfirm again early the next morning. But like I said, I would have explained the night before. But if I’d done that and I was getting texts when I was trying to sleep, only to wake up to a cancellation...I would not be happy.
Now, I did say since she stated the reason she didn’t respond was because her phone was inadvertently on silent, not by design, that is why I said she shouldnt be pissed. But that’s based more on her not setting appropriate expectations rather than your overzealous reconfirmations and possible poor selection process (65% cancel rate???).
So, in the future, the night before, state...”It will take me 45 minutes to get to you. I’ll text you at 11am for directions and make sure all is good, have a great night.” Then if you dont hear back, you have the right to cancel and she shouldnt be pissed.
Communication on both sides goes a long way.

Her phone was on silent during her morning appointments, you don't actually believe you were going to be the first guy of the day? She should have scheduled better

She knew this appointment was scheduled already. You did everything and beyond to get to her. She should have had her phone on. In this business our reputation is everything. She had no right to be upset with anyone, but herself.

Your fault. You made a deal. You broke it. If you wanted confirmation that should have been a part of your offer or acceptance. You offered to pay her to be at a certain pace at a certain time for a certain length of time. If you needed to confirm by a certain time that should have been part of the offer. I don't know what commitments she had prior to meeting you but they may have precluded a phone call. See. Isn't that easy?
