I used to call on a client down the road from the Lodge. Outstanding food.

Default What about in Erie?

Heading up to Erie today with a group of folks.
Where should we have a bite to eat? Going to the beaches to show some folks from the Midwest a good time.

TIA y'all

There was a good restaurant at the end of State St. past Hamot hospital. It was on the lake. Forget the name but probably the best restaurant in Erie when I used to do business there.

This place looks interesting:

I’m sure you can get some fresh Walleye or Perch somewhere up there.

Sure can.
Right off the back of the cousins boat.

Or at Hooks Kitchen.
Unfortunately, folks from the Midwest aren't really interested in fish or seafood for some odd reason. Lol

Been a long time since I was up in Erie but when I had a client up there, this place was always on the list

I used to like Burger King restaurants at one point until someone worked there. I will be honest, I like The seedier, dirty joints out there versus the upscale joints. There’s always the Halton Hilton for me. I always wanted to try Hector’s Cafe in Erie I just learned that they sold out and go by another name. At one point, it was a mob joint

The Sourdough King at BK is the bomb. I stop by the one by the Meadows when I’m out that way. I’ve yet to see a short, bald, Bulgarian kumquat stuffer creeping around the dumpster yet.

My Father worked next door to Hectors in the 60's and 70's. Ate there many times.Best food ever. All the cooks were Italian grandmothers that never spoke english. My dad always got Pasta e Fagioli & Tripe. Hector always was in the corner with a Stogi. The International Bakery was on the other side. They make Italian bread that can give Mancini's a run.
