Haven't been to either restaurant before but I did have African food one time. Strange experience for me. No utensils of any kind and all the food is served together on one big platter shared by the table. Each person has some tapioca paste (I think) and you scoop that up (with your hands) and use the paste to scoop up the food and eat.

Interesting. All of the african restaurants I've been to use utensils. I've seen family style and individual entrees, but always utensils. Flatbread is popular and is often dipped into other foods (foods that are a paste, like hummus). Definitely no need to ever use your hands.
