If you don't know where your mother is, why are you so concerned that she may be dead? Seems like misplaced emotions.

I'm not going to pass any such judgment Chit. Either way it is a shitty situation. Either it is more drama with her sister or the loss of a family member and the chance to make any amends.
AA I am truly sorry you are having to go through this and I hope it turns out your mom is fine and your sis gets get house in order.

Well TushHog, she carpet bombed 2 ISO requests just over an hour after she created this threAD, so I’m thinking, “We all just need to give her some time to grieve!”

This thread is a good illustration.
No matter how bad you think your parents were or are. No matter how much you think you hate them. No matter how much you think you do not care where they are or if you ever talk to them again.
Once they die and you no longer CAN see/talk to them you will likely wish you could. So do yourself a favor if you have parents still alive touch base occasionally and do your talking now before it is too late. Once they do die all you will have is thoughts of what do I do now. Lost count how many times I have seen this over the years.

You're thinking of a session from your perspective, but imagine finding out your parent had passed and you didn't have the money to fly there. Would you not also try to work extra hard at your chosen profession to earn the money you need to be able to travel?

Yeah, we all react to death differently. Some like to keep busy. May seem odd to us, but fir these gals keeping busy is something we may not think of as compatible with grief. But if it’s your job, maybe it keeps your mind off things. And, as Crock poingently points out, you need money to travel. For most of us, buying an airline ticket is just another expense, like a hair cut or servicing the car. Something that’s just part of a spur of the moment long weekend trip. We are very fortunate because for many, it’s a major expense.

GOSH, won’t I feel bad when she comes back on here and tells us Momma did indeed pass away, then proceeds to BASH us like she did on her needing a mechanic threAD a few weeks ago...No, I won’t...Egg on my face be damned!
There is a reason the Ladies of ECCIE stay away from certain threADS and it’s generally due to the Drama Queen source of it and her reputation.

AA - if true, sorry for your loss. If you know your mother's SS#, you can run a residence (credit) check for under $50 on many websites.
This will.list last known address (probably where your mother is - or was) to contact them.
Good luck & prayers

Hopefully, by now you know but in case you do not and you know her SS# you can check their data base. Funeral homes normally notify Social Security right away.
