Alternative screening for newbies

Read my words carefully. In no way do I endorse or condemn any of the practices outlined.

In fact, I omitted several methods that providers have told me they use on a regular basis including texting, phoning, e-mail, SNAP, Twitter and other social media.

I was just telling the o.p. what methods some providers use.

Note, I failed to include the phrase "gut instinct," which does not refer to belly fat, btw.

And, most of the several ladies I know who "coffee," usually have a galpal or guypal sitting in the cafe observing. In some instances past, I have been an observer or, indeed, a participant, for that matter. In my case, mainly for "ginger" possibilities (my confessed personal weakness).

If the "gut feel" says no, just say you have an errand and/or lets make it happen manana. Or simply not engage at all.

The essence of meeting in a public space speaks for itself, imo, especially depending on appearance, spoken words and visible gestures. And, if possible, observation of the unkown person's arrival, companions and vehicle.

That is true--but it can be a significant deterrent to LE if done well. And it says things about cleanliness, civility, etc. For ladies who generally deal in longer dates this is something many of them care about. Is it perfect? No, but then NO form of screening is perfect. There was at least one serial killer of escorts who had an on-line persona on a different board. He went out of his way to see some of the ladies in his area, get good references from them, and then use those references to see and kill other ladies.

Screening is all about butting enough pieces of info together so you feel the risk has been minimized to a level you are willing to accept. No two ladies will ever see it the exact same way.

The other extreme from Claire's: since it isn't perfect, don't waste time doing it. NO screening is perfect for either side. It is all about how to distribute the risk between the two people. Some guys want the ladies to assume 99% of the risk. Some ladies want the guy to assume 99% of it. If common ground cannot be found, time to look for a different escort to see.

Of course RW info will not stop a psychotic madman, but I strongly suspect it will cause MOST men to behave better and avoid things that they suspect will result in retaliation of some kind.

Having said that, I have not given out any RW info to see someone in a decade or more. For me, I can see most the ladies I want to see without that--but a few wanted more than I was comfortable with and I passed.

And, definitely in the FWIW department.

Many hobbying veterans (females and males) hereabouts can cite chapter and verse about previously very vouched and verified males and females who, after a few or even many years of spotless hobbying have "gone off the rails" for whatever reason.
