Basically just stay near the airport, there's hotels all along I10 across the freeway from Cielo Vista and Basset malls then up Airway Blvd near the airport. It's fairly centrally located, unless you have to go to the west side. There's also a bunch of bars and restaurants in the area.
If you're gonna have any ladies see you in your room I'd suggest
Chase Suites hotel. It's got rooms that are about on par with Marriott and the other big name hotels, but each room has it's own outside entrance so no worry of the front desk staff stopping any of your guests etc.
Whatever you do stay away from Hawthorn Suites, whoever laid out the room numbers is an idiot, so you're walking around lost and can't get cell signal to call your date to let them know you're lost walking the hallways. I know cause that happened to me.
