It seems that our modern society is being divided into two distinct groups. Those that produce, and those that take.

A big problem in this country imho is that we never take into account that the military is in fact a huge part of government.
We act as if this is not the biggest special interest group in the whole country.

I'm for going back to everyone serving in the military and getting rid of career soldiers.

The VA would be limited to wounded soldiers hurt in military duty.

You would not have people like JD who served in some position in the Navy less dangerous than a farmer or a fishermen who supply food to the military. Why are they less important than JD. Why do they not get educational benefits, loan benefits and medical benefits.

If you serve your country via the military for love of country, then why are you political and voting for politicians that are perceived to give you more shit?

And which do you think stood an actual chance of winning?? None of the independent party members even broke into double digits for % of the vote in any state..

Could you expand on what you feel true conservative values are, fiscally and socially, please?
1) Strong national defense, and this INCLUDES Proper border security and vetting any refugee/asylum seeker wishing to come here
2) Proper controls on immigrants coming in, including requiring them to provide PROOF they have a job waiting for them/Financially can support themselves or have a sponsor to do so
3) RULE OF LAW. Not just one law for us people, 1 for blacks and another for the rich/famous. BUT ONE WE are all held to..
4) PERSONAL Responsibility. TAKE CARE of yourself, don't expect/demand everyone else do so.
5) Pride in Excellence, not 'participation awards/reducing to the lowest common denominator.
6) Frugalness both personally AND IN OUR federal/state budget.

Agreed. And i really hate it when it seems what to everyone else are luxuries, seem to get put into the 'necessities and thus they should be provided for by the guvmint to those on welfare, such as free internet, free phone, free cars (IN the uk) and the like..

Over my 40+ years of living, i've seen FAR TOO many abusers, and little come back from the government to curtail it.. Hell when i lived in the UK back in the 70s to 1990, there was a # of instances where they did a "See fraud, report it" drive, to stop the British version of Welfare fraud.. MANY of my friends/family/neighbors DID report it, some did so multiple times on fraudsters. YET NOTHING EVER got done...

Agreed. There's just way too many pork spending projects, agencies that duplicate jobs other groups do.. Hell did you know we have 17 DIFFERENT intelligence agencies?? YET still can't seem to find someone's head up our own arses.. WHY do we need that fucking many?

None have a chance if you are willing to vote for the likes of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

Another day, another bumphazi fest. It's on you, LLiarMan. ENTIRELY on you.

Notably, we've now got jerkall bumping. He obviously hasn't figured out why he's doing it, but maybe it came to him during one of his "head movies."
