Default On safe play

Everyone has their own standards for what's safe, and what's acceptable risk. You can see what people are down for by reading reviews, but the "why" is lost. How do people set their rules for safe play? What helps you balance the risk and reward? Gentlemen and ladies, care to share?

I don't want to restrict how you answer, and there's obvious reasons not to share very freely. But here's a few prompts:

Is it common to go bare FS?
Do you set different rules for different partners?
Why do I see DATY/DATO along with CBJ so often? (Are you really using a dental dam?)
Are you on antiretrovirals? If yes, are you on them for this hobby or is that incidental?
Do you feel both parties are obliged to disclose HIV status?
Most interesting on all of these questions is the "why."

Really don't want to offend anyone, I'm just genuinely curious what thought goes into how people set their rules. Feel free to answer generically, or share an interesting comment you've heard if it's relevant. However no judgement here please (unless your want to cast judgement on me for asking a stupid question - that's legit)

They are fair questions but some are forbidden topics.

I will say this.

Don't bare back.

Don't kiss a chick who eats ass.

Stay away from volume gals. Especially their ass.

I don't know of any people who are that proactive about catching that.

Rules are prob different. A lot of it has to do with their chemistry with the dudes. Perhaps not more activities but better IOP or GFE.

Never heard anyone using a dental dam. I think Saran Wrap works best.

is it not a law or something that if you were hiv + and didn't tell your partner and they contract the virus that you can go to prison for murder or attempt thereof?

Here is a link to the CDC with some info. Laws have changed a bit. If you are a sex offender or involved in a major crime against a person you may need to report.

TT is on the spot for once.

Look, we all take risks in life but it is the level of risk that differs. Condoms? Yes please as I value my health a little more than the next time. BBBJ, I'm ok with because the risk is lower.

Nevertheless, if I had an STD you bet I would disclose that. I had HPV for a while, yes it goes away, but you bet your last dollar that I informed every girl I was with that I had it. Even though these were "civilian" girls, I would do the same for a professional. I would hope they would do the same for me. Nevertheless, I treat any woman like she has an STD until we are long term and have been tested.

You asked why, and I ask why about what? About informing and staying protected? Informing--> because we are all humans
Use of condoms--> because I don't want my dick to fall off.
