Default Question for the gentlement

Do you have preferences on the type of hotel that is rented? It seems like the better hotels are at least $100 a night. When you think about a good time does this change your idea? I'm sure no one wants to be at the bates motel, but does it have to be to be the Ritz? lol

A Ritz will run you about 500 a night depending where you are. yeah I prefer a hotel in a decent part of the town with indoor hallways so I can just enter and make my way to where I am heading. No outside doors or connecting rooms.

Lovely lady, I realize your question was for the gentleman, but I wanted to let you know that priceline.com is a huge help on cost versus quality. Just an example, they have 3.5 stars in WLR right now on express deals for $58 plus tax & fees. Figure around $70 total.

"Express deals" is a blind bid, so you won't know which hotel until it goes through, but I typically book 2.5 - 3.5 stars & it's always worked out well for me.

The hotel doesn't even need to be the Ritz. For me just someplace clean and safe.

I stay at hotels in the $90-$120 range and it has always been a good investment for me, as it gets me plenty of repeat clientele. Ginger is right about Priceline. I've found great deals on there!

I am a huge user of Priceline's Express Deals, and I'm finding that the more I use them, the more Priceline will reveal the identity of some of the hotels on an Express Deal, especially if I've stayed at that property in the past.

And in some cases, if you pay close attention to prices, location, and star level, you can figure out the identity of other Express Deals. Works better in smaller towns with only a handful of hotels on Priceline, but I've managed to figure out the identity of a couple express deals in St. Louis before.

Cheers,

bcg

Most important to me is that the room door is well lit, and no people are loitering near it. Recently, while waiting for the provider to arrive at my cheap outcall, there was a large black male pacing my door and cussing somebody out on his phone. I almost called hotel management but he left before the provider got there. I'll never go that cheap again. At the time, I would have paid $50 to have him disappear. So I guess i'm willing to pay a little extra to have an indoor hallway. I think residential incalls calls are great.

I don't have a big problem with going to a "notel" on occasion but I definitely prefer the nicer hotels like Ginger and Vannah described. It feels safer, and just makes it seem a little more like a special occasion. Ambience counts for something, I think.

Edit: Typically the beds are more comfortable too. And bonus points if there's a big Jacuzzi. Love the Jacuzzi.

Decent places that have not been the site of BP busts work for me. I prefer upscale actually. A cheap ass place makes it feel like a cheap ass date.

I would say clean and safe are enough. Also, no sketchy neighborhoods.

Thank you so much for your suggestion I rented a room that's way nicer than last week, and it has an indoor pool, for $25 less than what I paid last week.

I prefer a place that is a little nicer. Even if you have to add on to your compensation I believe you will get more business. That's my opinion anyway.
