the problem with this, is that the Senate, until recently, year 2000, or so, had one US Senator (that Bitch from Chicago, Carol Mosely Braun).. there are now 20 women, roughly, and that coincides exactly with the rise of obstructionism/do-nothingism of both houses of Congress.

THAT QUOTE OF YOUR'S, IS NOT TRUE.
The problem with the senate and CONGRESS is: there is too much RED in it. We are going to fix that in 20 days from now. We are going to ADD some BLUE to that mix. lol (TRUE BLUE)

what isn't true? the makeup of the Senate, or the timeline of the increase in obstructionism? a hit-and-run post just makes you look like a flaming liberal.. defend yourself.

I agree and I am more concerned with with the career politicians. It is the main reason I will go vote is to vote down the ballot and get some new people in.

And socialism begats totalitarian communism. Because somebody has to enforce all that government mandated equality.
Julian Assange is looking more and more like a national hero.
So far as Hilary, I didn't know Hitler had a sister.
Trump is a braying jackass but at least he's a competent jackass.

Yeah you are correct Sensational Stacey. The presidential candidates, as well as all other politicians in the USA, are a Complete Sham. Very sad but correct in my opinion.

ijs - if we had a national lottery system to choose Congress and maybe even President we might just be as well off (or better, certainly not worse!).
Everyone over age XYZ with a Social Security account would be eligible; "winners" would go to WDC for two years, live in a common dormitory, paid a decent salary and benefits and then retired from that system for life.
Otherwise, we are always stuck with everyone in politics -- and they all share the one common goal:
Re-election!
