I never had a pet crab, hermit or otherwise, but I have had my sleep seriously interrupted when the noisy bastards come out at night. Everybody in the bivouac was stomping as many of the fuckers as we could. Damn things scuttle about and chirp too.

Check the price of a vial of antivenin if you want to resist the urge to own a venomous species.

Look what I acquired yesterday. I was browsing craigslist and a guy was giving away his 4 hermit crabs and the entire set up and supplies, so I figured why not. I just added a few balls to the tank and that was it.

My son is out of town so he has not seen them yet, but he'll be home tonight. I think he'll enjoy watching them and if he doesn't, I'll be PMing you Yummy

You know you can have shells made for him. I'm sure the little dude would like to see him tote around something more colorful or differnt. I'm a fish as a pet kinda guy. I only touch them when cleaning the tank.
