I once talked to a girl who had a rate structure like that, and I asked her why someone would book a one hour appointment, rather than two consecutive half hour appointments. She got really huffy with me, and responded with something like, "I don't know what kind of girl you think I am, but I *never* book back-to-back appointments!" Just didn't get it at all...

Though I can certainly imagine that a girl who prefers quick appointments for whatever reason might deliberately structure her rates that way to discourage longer appointments, but I've never personally been aware of anyone who did that on purpose.
