the crackdown is his plan to purge the country of secularists. the coup was certainly staged to provide that opportunity.
the curious thing tho is that 14 Turkish navy ships have not reported in.
this also applies to other Islamist groups Egypt and others are fighting.
if Islamist can't win at ballot box, then they will fight until that govt. is overthrown.
Tunisa is the only country of the so-called arab spring that made peace with Islamists.
