You have to stay active in anything in order to get the props you build up. Unless, of course, you were a legend or very well known and someone who has been missed by the masses. There's a lot of come and go in the hobby. This time....stay in the loop or stay in touch if you decide to go on hiatus. For all the ladies know, you went to prison for hurting a woman, spent time in a mental institute, or a myriad of other reasons kept you away that a lady might be uncomfy with. So yes, recent and decent history in the hobby is really important, fair or not.

I could say that your post count is what I mean as ratings, you used my post as a tool to up your count, and your comment was useless and more on the edge of trying to belittle me, but I won't say that I don't want to be rude and dis-respectful.

For most girls, there's a lot more that goes into screening than just your ECCIE profile. Yes, that can certainly help to prove you're well established but most girls will require more. It's unfortunate that there aren't any newbie friendly girls in your area that have caught your eye but once you bite the bullet on them, it will be much easier to see the girls that have. As Angel said, make sure you keep your history up to date. It's like maintaining your resume. Just be sure you're up to date on your Office credentials and you'll find things are made a lot easier for you.

You also want to keep in mind that while asking the guys for what girls are reference friendly is a seriously good start, asking girls that catch your interest directly is also pretty good. It verifies that they do give references if everything goes well and, if their name didn't pop up on the list, then you can find out where they stand on the matter. I'm honestly not sure if my name would pop up on a "reference friendly" thread but I do provide references when girls reach out to me.

@EveningCloud - I can't speak for other girls but what I'm looking for on a p411 profile isn't that they've verified you (I could do that on my own pretty easily) but that other girls verified you. I.e., your OK history. If someone has 50 OKs but the most recent one he got was in 2013, I'll need more info for screening. If he's been a member for years but has 0 OKs, same thing.

For you, it's the gap in activity that's pretty much put you back to newbie status. Without a recent history, you're stuck seeing a few newbie and reference friendly girls to get yourself back on track. Once they've graciously re-opened doors for you, you're back to being in the all clear. Luckily for you, since you know how things work, you won't run into the same sort of faux pas that 100% newbie guys would. Hope you're able to get back to playing quickly!

Being a newbie has nothing to do with shyness or NCNS. It has nothing to do with worthiness or being molded (unless you're seeing a Domme ). Being a jerk/clingy/erratic and/or acting like a cop/pimp is a red flag no matter how long you've been having fun and the chances of getting a date with a lady plummet. If a newbie is a dick, he's not being turned down because he's a newbie, he's being turned down because he's a dick. 90% of the ladies here won't care about your marital status or your weight. They will, however, care a great deal about your attitude and a lot will be quite pleased with signs of polite intelligence.

Not quite sure what cheating on references is?

We've all been newbies before and 99% of being a newbie is just being aware that you have no idea what your doing, the willingness to apologize for the mistakes you make, and, more importantly, the ability to learn from those mistakes. That and time are pretty much the only ways to crawl out of the newbie hole. I'm really grateful to the newbie friendly girls as not only is seeing newbies risky, it's also a lot of hard work to get them verified. So, when you do finally see your first, be sure to be extra nice to her.
