I am thinking that the sleezy aspects of modeling have been known of for quite a while.

Not meaning to trivialize or dismiss abuse of young women: But now "trafficking" is pretty broadly defined and widely applied.

did not know the modeling agencies were sleazy. they are essentially running a racket.

what they are doing amounts to a form of slavery, involuntary servitude which is illegal in the united states.

I've that there aer some photographers are doing something similar with the models they work with, mostly for sex as a favor.
