i find it very hard to believe Rick Pitino had any direct knowledge of this. it sounds more like McGee felt he had to do this to succeed at recruiting. the pressure to bring in recruits must have gotten to him.

these parties appear to have stopped when McGee left so that's another potential sign Pitino had no knowledge of them. if Pitino had condoned this, you'd figure they would still be going on yeah?

Pitino really doesn't need to resort to this type of tactic anyway, he has nothing to gain and everything to lose if it ever came out. his rep and record alone is more than enough to bring in top recruits without resorting to this kind of thing.

i'm a UofL grad. i certainly do not want to see our latest NCAA title vacated for this, especially if it's true that Pitino did not know about it.
