Apartments, I'd say, as long as they're not a labyrinth of identically made buildings with minimally distinct lettering that's hard to see from the road...even with broad daylight. Nighttime? Oh, man.
The ones that are the OPPOSITE of the above are the best. Buildings look nice and are easily identifiable. One or two simple turns and you're there. Green grass, no loose dogs, no lurking weirdos.
Hotels are fine, too, so as long as they're not wide open...wide open and not busy. Every time I have to clear an empty lobby, I always feel like there's a TV announcer guy waiting to point me out.
"Hey, everyone! There's RAMBRO CREEEEEED, making his way to room 215 to go see _________, the half hour love of his life!" [confetti falling, game show music, etc]
Just a handful of bodies can make the difference (3-7), or if there's some kind of event going on. It's easy to walk past that stuff. But the empty, wide open lobby....oh, brother!!
