Guild Wars 2

Would be 3 that come to mind.

i couldn't stick with WoW i played it off and on ,mostly off, since launch. the greatest fun moment for me was Wratih of the Lich King. Played Cata a bit but just got so tired of it and left for good.

to me what is funny is that i always play a tank in mmos and remember in Everquest 1 we had 1 taunt you could use every 7 seconds. If you didnt have a weapon that proced hate tanking was a challenge. Now in FF14 i have so many buttons and macros its a little over whelming. was easy to tank drunk in the early days, not so much anymore.

Just seen this. I'm an avid gamer myself belive it or not lol. Wow is dog trash...the new expansion is nothing but a garrison game. Once u figure that out ur bored as fuck just sitting around doing nothing but farming for ur garrison...ooooh weee...Boring lol and if u happen to enjoy end game content finding a group of like minded fairly decent people is a nightmare on its own. Too many fucktards keep u from really progressing.

Rift was a ton of fun back at release. I pushed a shit ton of content and was very competitive.

FF14 was fun for a bit then it was dead.

Starwars was broken from launch like 98% of other games released. Game company's realize we still pay for not working games as well as working games so why should/would they spend their money to actually test/finish a game.

Eso was fun and extremely beautiful. But broken also so lost interest.

Tera, newest guild wars, wild star, defiance, neverwinter, aion...all had their initial fun but found bugs they lost their appeal.

Anymore when I have free time I jump on my xbox and play sum destiny, or dragon age inquisition. Dying light has been keeping my interest sparked. When neverwinter drops for it I'll snag it.

So a long post to an end if ur wanting f2p I'd say go with rift. End game is still challenging, and can be fun. Lots of updates and new content all the time. They started this game out very very well. But over time it did not keep old wow players because of how much content wow already has. Same as with any new mmo. If it can't get content out fast enough people settle for wow and it drives me insane. I refuse to give anymore of my money to blizzard. Also rift doesn't nerf their content as much as wow so there's a bonus if u like a challenge.

I imagine there will be sum WK/fan boys out there and that's ok. I personally wanna give my money to someone that isn't blizzard/activison. So that means fuck COD and hello battlefield.

The Secret World is probably one of the best MMOs that nobody talks about. It's not f2p, it's b2p for $30 (Steam sale of $20 occasionally). Ton of value for that price - no subscription, just several cheap optional content packs. Not pay to win at all, can only buy cosmetic items.

Pros:
Fully voiced main & secondary quests (95% of quests) that really immerses you in the world.
"Real world" modern setting with supernatural foes - New England, Egypt, Eastern Europe, Tokyo. Think X-files, Fringe, Harry Dresden, Secret Agent, Steven King mashup.
No character levels or classes. Progression defined by unlocking lots of active and passive skills for various weapon types, and getting better gear. One character can unlock every skill. Uses tank / healer / 3 dps roles for dungeons, use a hybrid survival spec for questing and challenge content.
Extremely fun 5 man content with 3 levels of difficulty (nightmare changes mechanics).
Very friendly community.
RNG not much of a factor for end game because of tokens used upgrade and purchase of new gear.
Gorgeous world if you have a good PC.

Cons:
Not enough endgame group content. The dungeons and few raids gets old after a while.
I didnt enjoy the pvp, but some do.
Animations aren't very flashy, can seem stiff.

I dont play anymore, but it ruined other MMOs for me. It's a good one.

Tried a few but always stay with WoW.
I play every day. Too many characters on too many realms.
I even have two accounts but one is inactive.

I need help.

Damn.... Both RHJ and HD are not only gamers but REDHEAD gamers!?! Might have to think up some sort of way to incorporate some playtime into "playtime" with these hotties!

Rift is a good choice, I played it for a while. I keep coming back to Lord of the Rings Online though. I'm a lifer but the F2P is implemented very well in the game. It tends to have a more mature community too. It helps I'm a nut for Tolkien.
