I never remember that March 3rd is International Sex Worker Day until I read it somewhere. And that somewhere is on one of my most favorite bloggers and people, The Honest Courtesan.

Well, the "happy" part is out of context from the way that the day is presented.

For my part in starting a topic, I just used an (admittedly trite) acknowledgement of the day in the way that I'm comfortable with.

I do find it interesting that sex workers in India were the ones who actually spearheaded this day being what it is, and mostly recognized in other countries.
