Never did Cracker Jacks for prizes- too cheap and not memorable; but for the taste of the crunch - until I got cavities in my teeth. Mom put a bounty on CJs. Now my memory for the real prize was my Lone Ranger's badge and dang, can I remember what cereal that i ate to earn that? Anyone???

Cracker Jacks used to be in a box but a few years ago they changed to flexible packaging like potato chips for economical reasons. I was in the factory where they manufacture and package CJ a few years ago and one of the guys with me was saying how his wife loved CJ but always complained there wasn't as many peanuts as before. That's true as the cost of nuts has skyrocketed. So we went over and custom made him a couple of bags with about 50% peanuts for his wife. I always wondered if he got lucky because of those bags.
