A good reminder... in my experiences its all about attitude... if you just act like you belong there and don't do stupid stuff (like standing around in the lobby waiting for a room # txt and then dashing to the elevator when it does come) to attract attention to yourself then you won't have a problem.

Exactly. I walk in and act like I'm staying there walking up to my room. I never even enter the hotel until I have the room number and know exactly where I'm going. If you look unsure, then you will draw attention to yourself.
