Today I got into a spot where I started thinking about a friend who recently walked out of my life. I put pen to paper to try to get clarity, but this is what came out instead.

So, ladies, is this just bad high school poetry.... or would it touch the soul of a grown woman?

Drop the first two lines and you're good to go.

By putting in the first two lines (especially putting "art" in quotation marks) you are negating the feeling of the poem by distancing yourself from the emotional side and going all rational/logical/scientist on it LOL!
