Thinking. I like him, too.

I wonder how HIS bedroom looks? Do you think there is a lot of extra hair/cat fur around?

You know, I bet there are a lot of art projects that could be completed with cat hair/fur.

Creative process.

Messaged him once and ironically, he says he owns no cats, ha. Cat owner wannabe, but his posts are always funny.

Give me a new bed, a new lover a day for 10 days straight, and I'll make that hack look like some chalk artist to my Rembrandt.

I'm sorry but I personally hate found art. We all get that it's the story of the "art" you found that you want to share but it strikes me as lazy.

The story could be translated through photos, a sculpture, a painting, music.....just anything but taking a distressed object out of it normal environment so people look it over more. To me art should be an interpretation of the world shared with an audience, not some cheap ploy.

I should have painted my college apartment's coffee table. Now that was a story of overindulgence and nihilism.

Thanks! And if I ever make it out that way, I certainly will!

If I were to guess, I'd assume that the purchaser has his/her own history with that bed

Okay, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, while true this may be lazy, have you been to a museum lately? I have, they are filled with many simplistic pieces that on the outset appear lazy. I actually applaud her, not for artistic ability, but for being clever enough to make 4 million off her nasty bed. Hopefully, she can go to rehab and invest in a new one.

Yes, I have certainly been to museums lately. I have no problem with simple or the artist herself. I adored Reinhardt's black paintings. I just don't like found art.

You realize she didn't make money off that sale right?

No, I didn't know that, thank you for pointing that out; I would have rather seen the money go to her.
