From my observations, there are some ladies that name changes can be for bad reps under old names, but they soon show their true colors again under new names. Some have been banned under old names.
But some will change names because they are trying to hide from stalkers or past partners or SOs. Some may have been out of the hobby and are restarting.
I've never had to change mine, thankfully. I'm sure that it would be hard to start over with no reviews and have to re-earn respect.

I think even if you change your name the reviews carry over.. I might be wrong babe. Don't know for sure.

You can change your account name by contacting the moderators... if approved (can't think of any that ever was not) then your account name would change but nothing else.
All your reviews, posts and start date would stay the same... you could even ask the mods to go back through all your old reviews and edit them to reflect your new name.
It would be a lot of extra work for the moderators to do that, but it can and has been done.
