My handle popped up on a site done with Blogger (a Google app) when I commented on the page, using Chrome for a browser.

Closing your browser after viewing NSFW or using the "incognito" feature on Chrome may not be good enough.

To a similar point posted in the thread, you can use Firefox for this. Opening up a "private" instance of firefox will, in essence, create a new browser. Anything done in that browser instance, while open, will have self-contained information. At the same time, you can do whatever you like in the non-"private" instance of firefox without worrying about information getting crossed.

Take note, though: One private instance = all private instances while a private browser/window remains open. You can have multiple private sessions with self-contained information.

Firefox mobile with image block add-on and in private browsing mode. Set settings to clear browsing history/private data when the application is closed.

Unless someone is reading the text on your screen you can view ECCIE in public this way. Works for me at least.

IE has the same feature. It works just fine. using a browser that auto logs you into an account not related to the site your viewing is a sure way to get into trouble.

Already replied to your thread in technical, but if you're serious about privacy I highly suggest checking out the Tor browser.
