It was a fun read. Nothing bad should come of it. He handled himself well. If it were me, I'd have been flattered. I would also be grateful he did the right thing at the event he saw me at. Let this board be an exchange...of forbidden fantasies, without ever crossing the discretionary line.

I bumped into a provider in public once, just a couple weeks after having a date with her. We made eye contact but didn't otherwise acknowledge each other. I've often wondered if she even recognized me. Because I figure her private life is just that, private, I didn't send a PM or anything about the chance encounter. That was probably about 2 years ago now and I haven't seen her since.

I agree the op was a delightful read and shared his experience without revealing too much nor putting her on the spot. I think a PM would have possibly come across as stalkerish, especially since they've never met. The was he handled it let her know that she had been admired and puts the ball in her court if she'd like to contact him. I do not feel any harm has been done with his post, on the contrary it shows what a true gentleman he is.

I think the thread was introduced fairly. Some providers may have asked, "Where was I Saturday?"
Many hobbiests might ask, "What would I do in that situation.?" or "Yeah, that happened to me and.....". Some providers might offer, "Yeah that happens more than you'd think" or "If it ever happens, I think this is the best way to handle it." or "Let me tell you about the funniest/scariest time it happened.

Unfortunately, almost none of that happened.

I am very glad to see that there are folks here who can appreciate both my intentions and my treatment of the situation. I still get a chuckle about it. I have not heard from the lady in question- so it is possible that I was mistaken altogether. Or, she simply is cautious since we have not met. For those of us who enjoyed a little "what would I do" or "WE know something no one else in the room knows" fantasy... thanks for adding your voices. Glad to know that there are still folks around with a sense of whimsey. After all, we do all lead 2 lives by being here. Gotta get a laugh out of that occasionally.

As Marie mentions, is not this board a platform for us to share and enjoy hobby fantasies, and other activities, etc.?
And it does happen. More than we see talked about on this board. Your handling was appropriate.
Slingerland’s comments add a good understanding of appropriate discretion that Marie also echoes.
But, if you’re already hobby friends with each other and you’re both actually solo someplace, which takes care of the discretion issue, cannot the fantasy become reality?

I think it depends on a lot of things
how well you know the provider
is anyone else with either one of you
how much of a hard on you get when you see her, hell you might as well find a good spot around the corner or in a car and that would make a great review

I recently saw a provider for some arranged BCD activities that were amazing. When talking with her beforehand and afterward, she swore that she had met me before. Now, I don't have one of those recognizable faces and it has, in fact, been a great source of my success in a former career that I blend in as an everyman. Usually, I'm the one who recognizes faces and I was ashamed that if the provider and I had previously met, that I could not recall it. I typically make those visual connections instantly. But I digress.

M, I think that what you said and how you said it was tactfully and tastefully done and I just wanted to add my belated opinion as another voice of approval. I'd like to think that I would have behaved the same and had the very same private chuckle. I know I do when I cross paths with "civvies" whom I've tupped in previous encounters.
