Hotel rooms aplenty? Williston?

Although in previous times, I've heard that hotel rooms were almost non-existant or very difficult to get, I just did a search and it did seem as if there were plenty of hotel rooms in Williston for August.

Is this something new? Or are hotels and apartments being built to meet the need of the town?

Just curious. I've always wanted to visit the area but it seemed like such a difficult endeavor.

According to the Building Permit Dept. in Williston, more housing units were built in 2012 than any of the years from 2003-present. In spite of that, there is still a housing shortage & a lot of what is available is overpriced. This includes hotel rooms. More than $100 for a 2 star hotel room would be absolutely unthinkable in other areas of the country. But, there's lots of money to be made there. I say get your booty to Williston while the hotel rooms are still easily reserved
