When relocating where are the best places to be in Alabama?

Hello all !!

I have been thinking of relocating from Texas to Alabama or somewhere close to Alabama.✈

I have been thinking of Mobile AL,(my first choice) because of its closeness to Florida. ☀

Also been thinking of Birmingham AL, (second choice) .
I have heard Birmingham is the s/d capital lol.

Feel free to suggest any other nice places that are good for living and working?

I like living in the city and somewhere with low LE activity (if that's possible anywhere)

I'd put in a vote for Mobile - easy access to the entire Gulf Coast, including Florida!

Montgomery has low LE activity.

It also has low activity in everything else.

Your best bet is Mobile or somewhere on the coast. Montgomery is a large city but not a lot going on here most of the time. Or you can try Huntsville.

Huntsville is extremely low LE. Occasionally there is a street walker bust or a notel bust for drugs. But we haven't had a focused escort bust for 2 years and that was for a hot tub place in an adjacent county. The major problem with Huntsville (from your point of view) is that it is a 160 town. This rate is established by our two major services, RCC and Bama Friends. With your reviews you can probably do significantly better (I'd he happy to give you more)!. You can easily travel to Nashville and Birmingham, which are much larger markets (and have much higher rates). Those places have high LE but if you screen you won't have a problem. In any case, please come to Alabama and let us know your availability. LG

if your looking for somewhere to live I would suggest the Huntsville/Madison area. It's quite enough in most areas to live comfortably. And your less than a days drive from Nashville Birmingham mobile Montgomery Atlanta and Florida. Not to mention it would be nice to have some new faces in the area!

Thank you all for the nice and informative replies. I have traveled through Huntsville and seen how beautiful it is..My biggest fear is moving and then not being able to make enough money but like some pointed out it is a very central area so touring should be easy.

Huntsville is the place you should select. 2 hrs from Birmingham; 2 hrs from Nasville; 1.5 hrs from Chattanooga; 3 hrs to Atlanta; 3 hrs to Montgomery; 3.5 hrs from Memphis;

Mobile would be great you have Ms gulf coast on the west you have fl. on the east your not all that far from Montgomery, Al : Jackson & Hattiesburg, Ms New Orleans
