Thanks for the free advertising, you two geniuses (all you need for a trifecta is Mopboy Q. Corneyhole). It only took four words to get you two all exercised. cpl nostones, are you der Perfesser's long, lost twin? I spent twice as long as it was worth (30 seconds) to make both posts. You two spent waaaaay too much time either finding or "creating" your limp-dicked visual aids.

"Four words"? Count again, ignoramus. At post #11 your ignorant ass posted:

There are more than "four words" in those two posts, Randy4Andy. Hopefully, someone more skilled with numbers handles your candy money, Randy4Andy.

Wow like saying the government would use this tool to fight others crimes was earth shaking.

Of course they were going to.

Empires always collapse from within....boy that is earth shaking there too!

COG states the obvious to anyone that isn't a fool. To those that do not know history or understand human behavior he sounds smart.

Here is another news flash for you.

That is why anyone in their right mind should be against big government.

There is no power or ability that government obtains that they will not
eventually abuse and use against its citizens.

Then riddle me this: if anyone in their right mind should be against big government, then why are so many people who are out of their right minds against big government?

Here is another news flash for YOU.

In a democracy (representative or direct), we ARE the government. We just have to agree enough on whatever we want and then vote people in who will effect those changes. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the electorate does not agree on much and corporate and monied interests use their power and money to make government do their bidding when possible and be dysfunctional most of the rest of the time.

"There is no power or ability that government obtains that they will not

The key word there is "eventually" and while that is a scary slogan, it is absurd and suicidal as well as completely unprovable if not completely false. If it were true, then all the nuclear powers will eventually use their arsenals against their own citizens because they obviously have that power. Duh.

I wish I was wrong. I'm not.

It's very sad to see how far we have fallen. And how you and the other left/right statists applaud our decline, even embrace it.

Being right on these issues is nothing to brag about.
Wow, right twice now in a short period! Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Amazing how often he can be right when he doesn't pick information from crackpot right wing blogs that don't do journalism LOL

COG IS right from time to time and I'm always amazed when we agree, but I'm afraid he is dead on here, this is nothing to applaud or argue about. He is correct that we are beginning to take on many aspects of a police state and while we have people like George W. Bush and Barack Obama in the White House we probably have little to worry about, we need to make sure if/when we get people like Nixon or worse (say a Stalin, Mao Stroesser or Somoza) in the WH that they don't have these capabilities in place.

Looks like Orwell just got the year wrong. Interesting view of today versus "1984" and in some ways quite accurate.
