This whole policy has disaster written all over it.

We have learned nothing from history. Assad, as vile of a charter as he is, at least keeps the religious fanatics in check.

That, and we still have the Russians. They consider Syria an Ally. Much like we consider Japan. They see it is in their best interest to keep the religious fanatics under check.

Most on the Left in our Country believe that going to war to get rid of a brutal dictator is wrong. Iraq is the best example of this line of thought. So why is it a good idea to get rid of this brutal dictator?

The Obama administration did fuck up the relationship with Russia.

They used that stupid "Reset" button metaphor to indicate that they wanted better relations than - what exactly? Better than the Bush administration? Did they want to reset back to the 1990s - before Putin?

Well, they hit the Rest button so hard, they reset us back to the Cold War. We are arming the rebels and the Russians are arming Assad. So we are on opposites sides of a Middle East war. Good fucking work.

Obama learned nothing from Bush's mistakes or his own mistakes in Libya, which is also turning to shit.

How long before our weapons get used against us in some jihadi attack? How long before they are used against Israel?
