Then why is he trying to overthrow Proposition 8 when that is what the people of California wanted? After all, they did vote it into law.

Face the facts. Obama is a typical politician. He sides with issues that he thinks are currently popular and will up his approval ratings. He doesn't really give a shit about issues, just approval ratings.

In regards to Prop. 8 in CA, it passed only because the supporters managed to get better lying political ads on the air that the non-thinking sheep actually believed. Doubt that it would pass today. Ironically one of the best explanations of this comes from outside CA.

Prop 8 passed because the Black and Hispanic voting blocs overwhelmingly supported it.


DOMA laws have overwhelming support when polled in nearly every state of the union.

And Calif would repeat its support of prop 8....but the GLTG lobby wouldn't dare put it io to another losing vote.

Blaming media buys is sour grapewhining by the losing side....having lost, they prefer to take their better chances in the courts.
