Why do guitarists put drumsticks on the dash of their car?
So they can park in the handicapped spots.
(Just a joke given to me by a drummer, guys.)

What do you call a guy who's unemployed, lives at home with his parents, and hangs around with musicians? A drummer!
How can you tell the drum riser's level? The drummer drools out of both sides of his mouth!

How do you make sure nobody steals your violin? Keep it in a viola case.
How do you tune an orchestra to Ab? Take the batteries out of the oboe player's tuner.
How many trumpet players does it take to change a light bulb? Fuck you, I AM playing it right.

Guitar. Back in the '50's and '60's, it was every guys dream to be in a band.
I learned on a Fender Telecaster, then bought a sunburst Strat. I sold it to my girlfriends brother for about $50 when I got drafted. The darned thing's probably worth $50,000 now.
I have a Mexican Strat now, I play about twice a week, but I am developing arthritis in my hands, sometimes the fingers just don't go where they should.

Used to play acoustic guitar. I have a Yamaha that is gathering dust. Need to try and play again. Been thinking of getting a drum set for the hell of it.
"How many piano's did Liberace have?
Hell if I know, but he had organs up the ass!"

Percussionist...that's a big word for a drummer!!??!! Played it all...drum kit, all the marching instruments, xylophone, bells, marimba, claves, congas, bongos, etc., etc., etc.
Started in elementary school, played up through high school into college. Rock, jazz, blues, latin, loved it all. Was on a music scholarship to LSU until I busted up my knee playing basketball. Played into my late twenties, but got derailed by the Big Three: Job, wife, kids. Haven't played in years except to show off a bit when my oldest tried drumming in middle school. I'm pretty sure I've still got some chops, though!! (At least I tell myself that pretty regularly...)
Have always wanted to play the acoustic guitar. I could listen to James Taylor pick all day. I may take the suggestion a couple of posts up for the how-to book and take the plunge.
