"Parking Wars" and the Decline of the United States

I watched a bit of that show when it first came out and thought it was somewhat funny, but sad. As with alomst all of the "reality" shows, it's just another attempt to normalize abhorrent behavior to the MTV generation.

Is it just me, or do the same 10 people comment back and forth on every thread in the National section? We are making all these witty arguments that would sway millions, and no one notices, do they?

I haven't been around here that long and it's indeed the same general people.

Things pretty much go like:

1) Someone starts a thread attacking one political side.
----> Other political side swarms over and starts flaming.
-------------->Thread devolves into name calling and some people copy/pasting the same insults.

2) Someone starts a thread trying to have an actual discussion.
-----> Someone pulls their Ralph Wiggin impression
--------------> Thread devolves into name calling and some people copy/pasting the same insults.

3) Someone new to the forum posts a thread about anything.
------> Immediately regrets it and runs screaming from the forum.

LOL! You're right. No one even cares. That's part of what makes this place so funny.
