That's a fair point. Not to mention putting the wind pipe and the esophagus so close together. Maybe God was a little distracted when developing some of the design specs.
I know one thing for certain though. God definitely has a sense of humor. Its the only explanation for the duck billed platypus. Either that or God likes to partake of the herb from time to time.
