Let me ask some of the people here, do you know how stupid you all sound sometimes? We know that the embassy was attacked in April and later. We know that the ambassador had sent communications saying that he was vulnerable to attack. We know that through our communications network and just a plain old cell phone that Washington was aware of the attack while it was going on. The attack lasted almost eight hours. The only assets that everyone admits to is the fast reaction force from Tripoli. Seven men! To give Obama a pass is to believe that everything was done that could be done but everyone failed. So answer that question for us; do you think everyone was done that could be done?
Let me also point out what happened with the Achille Lauro. The terrorists departed the ship in Egypt and got on a plane at 4:15 PM EST bound for a Tunisia, a non extradition country. Oliver North, the NSA, ordered the carrier group in the Med to intercept the airliner and force it to Sigonella (the intercept took place at 5:30 PM EST). This all took less that the flight time from Egypt to Tunisia. He reported this to Ronald Reagan and Reagan confirmed the orders. The boarding of the airliner, the flight and interception, and the arrival at Sigonella (6:30 PM EST) all happened in less time than the attack on Benghazi.
Are you going to admit that the stupid, doddering, fool (democrat claims) Ronald Reagan did what Obama couldn't do?
